Appearance: 

Compact, slightly longer than tall dog with a double coat and curled, heavily plumed tail and pronounced ruff around the neck. Lips, nose and eyelids are black with oval eyes and triangular shaped ears.


Color: 

White or Biscuit Cream.


Grooming: 
Requires regular grooming. Sheds heavily in warmer months.

Temperament: 

Intelligent, friendly, yet slightly reserved around strangers and fiercely loyal to family. Although playful and energetic, Eskie is happy with a daily walk and is suited to apartment living. Easily trained and eager to please.


Lifespan: 
15 years

History: 

Originated in the Arctic as a modern variation of ancient Spitz type dogs used primarily as pets and watchdogs.

Hip dysplasia, blindness and allergies.
