Appearance: 

Medium, sturdy, squarely built dogs covered in flat harsh double coats. They have cat like feet and busy tails that curl over their back. The head is wedge shaped with a short tapered muzzle and almond-shaped eyes. The ears are triangular, point straight up and sit at the top of the skull.


Color: 

Predominately white, with a mask and with or without additional patches of color. Also, solid-colored with or without white markings.


Grooming: 
Minimal grooming required. Regular bathing and brushing required.

Temperament: 

Fun-loving and gentle dogs yet naturally protective and watchful. Highly intelligent, easily trained and high energy. These dogs need a job to do or frequent mental and physical stimulation. Very athletic.


Lifespan: 
15 years

History: 

Originated in Israel over 4,000 years ago. They were used to guard and herd flocks and changed very little over the centuries.

Generally free of genetic disorders.
