English Cocker Spaniel
Medium-sized dogs covered in long, silky, feathered hair. The head is slightly rounded and the muzzle is equal in length to the skull and thick, making them able to carry larger game with a soft mouth. The ears are long and covered in feathered hair. The tail is usually docked.
Solid colors or parti-colors.
Fun, loving, energetic dogs that have a natural instinct to hunt and retrieve. They are even-tempered and make great family companions. They are intelligent, easy to train and generally get along well with other pets and children. They do require daily physical and mental stimulation.
Became a separate breed from the American Cocker Spaniel in 1946. Originated as a flushing and retriever of fowl and small game.
