Appearance: 

Medium-sized dogs covered in fluffy, thick, dense double coat. They are squarely built and appear to be long legged. The head is rounded and wedge shaped with a straight, triangular muzzle. The ears are triangular, small, erect and set high on the skull. The tail is busy and curves over either side of the back.


Color: 

Varying shades of golden-red.


Grooming: 
High level of grooming required. Heavy shedder.

Temperament: 

Playful, friendly and outgoing. They were bred to bark and are very vocal. They are patient, sensitive and do well with other pets and children. They make great family companions.


Lifespan: 
15 years

History: 

Originated in Finland to be a hunter and companion capable of endurance and able to withstand harsh weather conditions.

Generally free of genetic disorders.
