Appearance:
Medium-sized and slender with a short and glossy coat. The head is long with amber colored and deep set eyes. They have long and erect ears. The tail is of medium length and hangs low.
Color:
Ranges from tan/rich and tan/chestnut with white markings on the tip of the tail, chest, face and/or toes.
Grooming:
Minimal grooming.
Temperament:
They are playful and vocal. They get along well with children and may be shy around strangers. They are athletic and need daily exercise. They have a strong hunting instinct and may not mix well with certain pets.

12 to 15 years
History:
Originated in ancient Egypt. Was recognized by The Kennel Club in 1974.
