Appearance: 

Medium-sized and muscular frames with a smooth, fine and glossy coat. They have flat heads with square muzzles. The eyes are prominent and the ears are of medium length and hang. They have long tails that can curl up into a hook shape.

Any shade of brindle.

Minimal grooming.

Temperament: 

Gentle, focused and energetic. They get along well with children and love to be with their family. They are quick and are curious. They love to be outside and have natural hunting instincts. They need daily exercise.

15 years

History: 

Were bred in Germany by the Plott family. They were used as hunters and trackers.


Health Concerns: 

Generally few genetic health problems, but are prone to bloating.
