Appearance: 

Medium-sized, gracefully built dog with a rounded head. The are covered in short, curly, soft hair and they are very low shedders. They have long legs and long, feathered ears that hang close to the head. The tail is usually docked.


Color: 

Blue, grey, silver, brown, black, apricot, creams and apricot.


Grooming: 
High level of grooming to maintain appearance.

Temperament: 

Intelligent, lively, energetic, clever and loving dogs. They learn quickly and are eager to please. The are patient and gentle and good with children and other pets. They form strong bonds with family members and make great family companions.


Lifespan: 
15 years

History: 

Although exact origin is unknown, the Poodle was descended from the French Water Dog. They were originally used in circus shows because of their intelligence and athletic ability.

Hip dysplasia, allergies, skin problems.
