Appearance:
Tall, thin, graceful dogs covered in silky hair. The head is broad and narrow and the eyes are dark and set close together. The ears are long and feathered. The tail is long, feathered on the underside and carried low and in a curve.
Color:
White, cream, fawn, golden, black and tan, grizzly and tan and tricolored.
Grooming:
Minimal grooming required.
Temperament:
Quiet, reserved and independent. They are very athletic and extremely fast. They need to be in a fenced in area. They form strong bonds with family members and make great family companions. Require a great deal of exercise.

History:
One of the oldest breeds around. Have even been found in Egyptian tombs. Were used to hunt. Prized for their speed and endurance.
Health Concerns:
Eye problems, cancer, hypothyroidism and heart problems.
