Appearance: 

Medium-sized, sturdy dogs covered in a thick furry double coat of white, which is weather resistant. The head is broad and wedge-shaped with a tapered muzzle. The eyes, nose and lips are black. The ears are small, triangular and stand erect. The tail is furry, plumed and carried over the back.


Color: 

White, cream, or biscuit.


Grooming: 
Regular grooming required. Heavy shedder.

Temperament: 

Intelligent, gentle and playful. They are patient and great with children and other pets. They love to be around people and form strong bonds with family members. Require regular physical and mental stimulation.


Lifespan: 
16 years

History: 

Named after the ancient Samoyed tribe in Siberia. They were prized for their sled pulling and hunting abilities in the harsh conditions.
