Appearance: 

Large, tall, lean dogs covered in a wiry, harsh coat. The head is long and narrow with a beard and moustache. The ears are small, lie flat against the head and are set high on the skull. The tails are long and narrow and carried low.


Color: 

Bluish grey, brindle, fawn.


Grooming: 
Minimal grooming required.

Temperament: 

Active, athletic, intelligent dogs that are loving and friendly. They are gentle and patient and get along well with children and other pets but because of their size should be supervised around small children. They require daily exercise. They make great family companions.

10 years

History: 

Originated in the Highlands of Scotland centuries ago as a hunter of deer and a cherished family companion.
