Small, light dogs covered in long rough coats. The head is long and narrow with a tapered muzzle. The ears are small, carried high and the tips of the ears bent forward. The tail is long, covered in long hair and carried low.
Black, blue merle, or sable.
Active, alert, hard-working, playful and loving. This is a herding dog with a strong work ethic. They are intelligent, easy to train and sensitive. They are gentle and patient and are generally good with children and other pets. Require daily physical and mental stimulation. They make great family companions.
Originated from working Collies in Scotland. Used for protection, helpers and herders for hundreds of years and valued for their intelligence and companionship.
