Appearance: 

Medium-sized, compact dogs covered in short dense coats. They are very muscular, yet move very lightly. The head is broad, well-defined and the muzzle is tapered. The ears are triangular shaped, pointed and carried erect. The tail is furry and curled over the back.


Color: 

Red, black & tan, or sesame. All with a cream undercoat.


Grooming: 
Requires minimal grooming. Heavy shedders.

Temperament: 

Quiet, independent, intelligent, athletic dogs that are gentle, patient and generally good with children and other pets. They love to be active and enjoy being outside. They make great family companions but need regular mental and physical stimulation.


Lifespan: 
15 years

History: 

Originated in Asia thousands of years ago as a mix from the Chow Chow.


Health Concerns: 

Hip dysplasia and knee issues.
