Appearance: 

Medium-sized, athletic dogs covered in short wiry coats. The head is long and narrow with a beard and moustache. The ears are v-shaped, set high on the head and fold forward. The tail is usually docked and carried erect.

Black and tan.

Regular grooming to maintain appearance.

Temperament: 

Feisty, lively, active dogs with a lot of energy. They are intelligent and easily trained. They have a high prey drive and should be kept in a fenced in area. Very active and require daily exercise. Generally good with children and other pets. They make great family companions for the active family.

12 years

History: 

Originated in Wales several hundred years ago to hunt foxes, otters and badgers across land and water.
