Appearance: 

Small, compact, low-to-the-ground dogs covered in a soft, white double coat. The head is rounded with a short muzzle. The eyes and nose are black. The ears are small and pointy and set high on the head. The tail is docked and carried high.

Temperament: 

Feisty, intelligent little dogs that love to run, chase, play and dig. They have a high prey drive and should be kept in a fenced in area. They are intelligent and easy to train and require daily exercise. They are gentle and generally get along well with children and other pets.

History: 

Originated in Scotland around the 19th century as a hunting dog that would not be mistaken for a fox.
