K-9 Hank catches burglary suspect

CANTON — A man accused of forcing his way into a woman’s home led police on a brief chase before a police K-9 caught up to him. Stark County Jail records said the K-9 named Hank held onto Daniel Armstead, 38, of 210 Green Ave. NE until police arrested him.

Armstead was accused of kicking in the door to a woman’s home in the 1200 block of Dueber Avenue SW and threatening to hurt the woman.

As police arrived, he ran out the front door and ignored several police commands to stop, the jail records said.
